Spanks making their move

Picked up Nady and Marte from the Pirates for four minor leaguers.

Nady has had a great year. The Braves were talking about trying to land him if they sweep the Phils this weekend. If not, they will be sellers. I would rather have Bay long term though, so maybe if the Bravos buy, they can come out better in the long term.

I am pretty much to the point where I hope they deal for some talent. They have been buyers for a little too long not to be accomplishing anything. Deal Tex since they won't sign him back anyway, preferably to the Dbacks for Conor Jackson and prospects.

The thing is, Nady isn't going to give you much. Not enough to help the Spanks do anything but finish third in the AL East.

Hes been an above average bat this year. Thats why I think Bay is a better choice long term. Nady is having a great year, I just don't know when the bubble bursts and he goes back to being a .280 hitter instead of a .324 hitter.

That's just it. Nady has been an average to below average player his entire career. He'll show flashes of brilliance, but for the most part he's a Chico Escuela wannabe.
